Ask A Question
There are not a lot of great TV programs around in modern times but the three television programs I’m going to highlight here stand above other TV shows as three of the top series of the millennium as of 2010!
The first series I want to talk about is The Wire on HBO which was on for five seasons. Each season shows the viewer a different perspective of the city of Baltimore. It is a brilliant program not only as a series that pulls viewers in (like the other two series in this article I remember watching 3 or 4 episodes in a row in a single day) but also as a series that makes really great points about the US.
I do not want to get into what these points are, because I think The Wire makes them much better than I can in an article like this one. But I will mention that one of the things I really like about this outstanding program is how it really blurs the line between the “bad guys” and the “good guys.” The Wire is realistic in portraying people as having positive and negative features rather than as either simply all good or all bad.
The second show I want to recommend is the only one of the three that is still running and that’s Dexter on Showtime. This is a series that I did not think I would enjoy when I first read about it so it took awhile before I finally checked it out. I’m very glad that I did. It’s ended up as one of my all time favorite shows. Yes, it is twisted (the main character is a serial killer after all) but it’s twisted in a very interesting way.
The third show I recommend as a great TV show of the century is the one I have been obsessed with recently and that is because it has only recently ended! You can now Buy The Complete DVD Collection of Lost and that is definitely the way to go since this is a series that must be viewed from start to finish without skipping any episodes.
What I really loved about this mysterious show is that it is “one huge story” where each episode is an important part of the whole and leads into the next episode. Watch it from beginning to end in order and avoid all spoilers!

Luis, Matt, Froy and Sonia approach a repo job a little differently: the owner of this car, a real estate agent, has been dodging her finance company for months. So, Froy and Sonia go undercover as a couple who are planning to buy a house. As the owner takes the “couple” inside the house for a tour, Luis and Matt take the car. When the owner finds out about the undercover sting, she gets vicious and violent, and attacks Sonia. *No copyright infringement intended
